Overview
When Bannatyne Gyms’ previous provider failed to fulfil their contract, RED stepped in to support Elonex Digital Media in delivering a nationwide programme of digital advertising screens. The project involved installing more than 50 screens in gym receptions and workout areas across over 30 Bannatyne properties.

Challenges

  • Taking over a contract that another provider could not deliver.

  • Agreeing new terms with Bannatyne Gyms to safeguard expected landlord income.

  • Coordinating a large-scale installation programme across multiple sites nationwide.

  • Ensuring minimal disruption to Bannatyne customers during installation.

Our Role
RED provided comprehensive project management and site-finding services, including:

  • Negotiating new lease and rent terms with Bannatyne Gyms, including profit-share arrangements.

  • Setting timescales for manufacture, delivery, and installation.

  • Coordinating with Elonex’s fabrication and installation teams to deliver the programme.

  • Liaising with landlords at each site to determine optimal screen locations, balancing visibility, advertising value, and practical factors such as power supply.

Outcome
RED successfully managed the nationwide rollout, delivering over 50 digital advertising screens across the Bannatyne network. The programme was completed on time and on budget, preserving the landlord’s expected income and creating a highly valuable digital media estate for Elonex.
