Vygon – Real Estate Relocation Strategy to Combine 240,000 sq ft of Offices
We worked closely with Vygon’s UK and European boards to devise a real estate strategy that would allow the company to relocate from their various existing buildings into one, main, centralised facility.
How We Help Vygon
RED identified and secured an appropriate site, and obtained planning permission for 200,000 sq ft of high bay warehousing, together with 40,000 sq ft of offices. Upon acquiring the former ‘Motorola’ HQ in Swindon, comprising 46 acres of prime land and buildings, we co-ordinated and managed the entire redevelopment project from inception to completion.
Vygon successfully relocated into the redeveloped ‘Pierre Simonet’ Building in September 2011 and in December 2012 approximately 20 acres of development land surplus to long term requirements was disposed of to a developer, for a sum in excess of that sum paid for the entire site. RED managed the exit strategy from Vygon’s historic ownerships to allow Vygon to maximise their potential returns.
