The company, founded in 1876, has had a presence in Wellington, Somerset for decades. The manufacturing base in Wellington has evolved over time and the result is that it no longer offers the efficiency required for such a high tech manufacturing operation.

RED will investigate and secure the best planning consent for the current site in Wellington. The sale of the site will help to fund the development of a new manufacturing facility. RED will manage the entire process for Swallowfield.
